The Carpenter House & Project Mayhem
Commitment 4 Change Summer Football Camp
for ages 7-17 yrs
July 5th-July 10th 2010
Please join Baltimore’s own retired NFL Atlanta Falcon, Keion Carpenter, Buffalo Bills' Aaron Maybin, and their NFL colleagues Michael Vick (QB Eagles), Prescott Burgess (LB Ravens), Bryant Johnson (WR Lions), Alge Crumpler (TE Patriots - 2x All Pro & 4x Pro Bowl), Peerless Price (WR, Pro Bowl), Deangelo Hall (CB Redskins -2x Probowl), Ed Hartwell (LB) Lydel Sargeant (Buffalo Bills), Lonnie Harvey (Buffalo Bills) and Ashlee Palmer (Detroit Lions) as they join with Woodlawn Recreation for the 2010 Commitment for Change (C4C) youth summer football camp. With similar ties to Baltimore and the NFL, both Keion and Aaron share a commitment to giving back. Inspired by their personal journey to the NFL, they have designed this year’s 6 day clinic to teach young athletes the tools to succeed on and off the field. Carpenter and Maybin’s goal is to give Baltimore's youth access to the resources they need to make good decisions and lead successful lives beyond the gridiron by providing workshops on art, college preparation and character building, as well as, specialized technical sports training. The camp, which seeks to marry formal education and fieldwork with interactive workshops, will take place this summer on the grounds of Woodlawn Senior High School in Baltimore County.
About C4C
All lessons are taught through the exploration and discussion of the camp’s principles: Trust, Listening=Leading, Knowledge is Power, Good Sportsmanship, and Unity.
